Overview
Get visibility into your agreements within the individual agreement view in LinkSquares Analyze. The individual agreement view provides all of the details you expect to see from the agreement applied in terms on the left-hand side. In addition, find when the agreement was added and tags applied the ingestion source, and if there are parent-child links, tasks, notes, or attachments.
Users can access the individual agreement view by selecting an agreement from the main Agreements page.
1. Renaming Agreement
Administrators and Managers can edit agreement names.
Select the agreement name to rename it.
If your organization has Smart Renaming enabled, the default name will adhere to the Smart Renaming setting determined by your Analyze Administrator team.
Click the Custom Name radio button within the Edit Agreement Name modal.
Enter a new agreement name.
Click SAVE once complete.
Note: The final version name in LinkSquares Finalize is ingested as the original file name in Analyze – not the Finalize agreement name.
2. View Original
The VIEW ORIGINAL button allows you to view the original agreement uploaded into LinkSquares. Scroll through the document in a PDF format.
Note: Standard users (including custom roles) may be able to view original agreements based on their organization's settings. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.
3. Download
The DOWNLOAD button allows you to download the original document uploaded into LinkSquares.
Note:
- Upon download, the document will have the original naming convention from its initial upload. This may be different from the name currently displayed on the agreement, especially if your organization has Smart Renaming enabled.
- Standard users (including custom roles) may be able to download agreements based on their organization's settings. Contact your Customer Success Manager to learn more.
4. Index Text
The index text is the text that LinkSquares' Smart OCR extracts from the agreement. This is an easy way to read and search through the text that is present throughout your agreements.
Analyze automatically produces the index text of an agreement. Within this process, Smart OCR technology converts scanned images into readable and searchable text once agreements are uploaded.
Note: Order forms or tables in the agreements will be reflected in different formats than the original file. The information will be consistent, but the layout will differ.
5. Terms
The Terms panel highlights both global and type terms important to your party, which are extracted and populated here. This helps you quickly find these important terms without having to scroll through the entire agreement.
Jump immediately to where language lives in the agreement via the highlighter icon.
The green light bulb icon indicates that LinkSquares AI extracted the information. This icon represents a value where there is high confidence that a value is present or not present. (Note: Not Present is still a Smart Value. This tells you that the information is deemed to not be present in the agreement.)
The blue light bulb icon indicates that LinkSquares AI did not have a high enough degree of confidence to extract the information.
The blue pencil icon means that an Analyze Administrator or Manager manually updated and created the user-generated value.
The gray processing icon means that the agreement is still being scanned by LinkSquares
6. Personalized Terms View
Customize agreements to show only the most relevant Global Terms by leveraging the drop-down.
To customize the terms within this list, click the blue notepad icon.

7. Summary
The Summary tab provides an Abstract and Key Points of the agreement using Generative AI.
Click on any key point to see excerpts of the text that the AI used to formulate the key point.
Click the highlighter next to each section of text to highlight that text within the full content of the agreement.
8. Info Tab
The Info tab provides an overview of key agreement information:
- The party that added the agreement
- The timestamp on which the agreement was uploaded
- The ingestion path
- The agreement type
- The associated tags

9. Links Tab
The Links tab enables visibility into related Governing Summaries and parent-child hierarchies.
Governing Summaries enhance visibility across a family of agreements through a central summary of current terms, enabling users to quickly make decisions based on active contract language.
Select a Governing Summary to view it.
Note: Governing Summaries may be restricted based on your Analyze Administrator team’s settings.
A parent-child hierarchy consists of related agreements in a linked hierarchy.
The bolded agreement is the current agreement within the parent-child hierarchy.
Leverage the Agreement Order drop-down to sort the agreement order. Sort alphabetically, by effective date, and by upload date in ascending or descending order.
Note: Depending on how custom roles are configured, custom roles may be unable to view full parent-child hierarchies given their tag-based or type-based restrictions.
To learn more about parent-child hierarchies, reference our article on Parent-Child Hierarchy.

10. Tasks Tab
The Tasks tab shows current tasks related to the agreement. The number within this tab reflects the number of tasks present.
Tasks can be leveraged to create reminders, requests, or an approval paper trail for yourself or a colleague. All Analyze users can create and assign tasks.
For example, Standard users can request that Administrators add or remove tags, edit or create parent-child hierarchies, or make general agreement updates. Renegotiate a renewal by assigning this task to a team member, and selecting a due date for when it should be addressed.
The assignee(s) will receive an email notification for this task:
- When it is created
- Seven days before the due date
- One day before the due date
- The due date itself
- One day after the due date
The task creator will receive an email once the task has been completed.
Tasks can be created within the individual agreement view or the Tasks page. Standard users can only see the tasks to which they are assigned within the Tasks page.
To learn more about assigning and managing tasks, reference our article on Analyze Tasks.
11. Notes Tab
The Notes tab enables users to add notes to a particular agreement. The number within this tab reflects the number of notes present.
This is useful if you want to add additional information to the agreement, or if you want to add something another user can view.
Notes added in Analyze can be viewed by all users in your account. You can add as many notes as needed, and each note can be edited or deleted.
Note: Only the note author can edit or delete it.
12. Attachments Tab
The Attachments tab shows relevant information and supplemental documentation related to an agreement. The number within this tab reflects the number of attachments present.
Agreements ingested from Finalize may include attachments.
Add agreement attachments at any time by clicking the + icon. There is no limit to the number of attachments you can add. However, users can only upload ten attachments at once.
All Analyze users can add and download attachments. Standard users can only delete the attachments they have added.
The supported file types are as follows.
CSV | DOC | DOCX |
TXT | XLS | |
XLSX | ASICE |
Note: The maximum file size for attachments is 25 MB.
LinkSquares Finalize Ingestion
Only attachments that are added to Signature Requests on agreements executed via LinkSquares Sign are ingested into Analyze alongside the main agreement.
This means that if an agreement has three attachments and one attachment is added to the Signature Request, this singular attachment will be the only file ingested into Analyze.
Attachments for agreements executed via DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat Sign will not be synced. Unsigned attachments will not be synced.
To learn more about adding attachments within Signature Requests, reference our article on LinkSquares Sign: Signature Request Attachments.
OCR Messaging
Sometimes Index text codes that cannot be run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology in LinkSquares Analyze.
OCR is a core component of LinkSquares. Every agreement that gets uploaded into Analyze goes through LinkSquares’ proprietary Smart OCR process, which converts locked images and PDFs into fully searchable text.
[LS_OCR_password_protected]
The document is password-protected and locked.
[LS_OCR_loading_error]
The document will not load or open unrelated to a password issue.
[LS_OCR_unsupported_language]
The document is fully in a non-English language.
[LS_OCR_unreadable_scan]
The document is a scan of low quality to the degree to which we cannot OCR the file (i.e., impossible to read).
[LS_OCR_unstructured]
