Overview
When configuring a Signature Request with LinkSquares Sign, users are can include attachments in the request alongside the main agreement. This feature allows users to configure one Signature Request for many documents, making the process more streamlined and efficient.
If the integration between LinkSquares Finalize and LinkSquares Analyze is enabled, any attachments that are included in a Signature Request will be automatically ingested into Analyze.
Process
Users can add attachments to their Signature Requests from two starting points:
- My Sign Hub
- Individual Agreement View
Note:
- XLSX file types cannot be added as attachments on Signature Requests.
- Password-protected attachment files cannot be added to Signature Requests.
My Sign Hub
To begin, go to Sign from the app selector.
This will take you to My Sign Hub.
Below the Start a Signature Request section, there is an Attachments section.
Click the + icon to add an attachment.
Browse for files locally, or drag and drop an attachment.
Any attachments will appear to the right of the + icon in the Attachments section.
To preview an attachment, click the eye icon.
To delete an attachment, click the trash icon.
Once all attachments have been added, click START.
Note: Attachments can be added before or after the main agreement is uploaded. The START button will remain disabled until the main agreement is uploaded.
The New signature request modal will appear with the file name in the Agreement Name field. Users can enter a unique agreement name in its place. The name outlined here will be the name of the Finalize agreement.
This functionality allows Signature Requests initiated from My Sign Hub that use a generic file to be uniquely named to better represent their purpose.
Note: The maximum character limit for the agreement name is 80 characters.
If users are configuring a bulk Signature Request, enable the Request signatures in Bulk toggle. The workflow for including attachments is the same whether it is an individual or bulk Signature Request.
To learn more about the configuration process for bulk Signature Requests, reference our article on LinkSquares Sign: Bulk Signature Requests.
Click CONTINUE once complete.
The Signature Request page will populate with the main agreement (i.e., the agreement that is uploaded under the Upload File section) and the selected attachment(s) merged into one document. The agreement and attachment(s) are only merged in this step.
At this point, the Signature Request is configured as usual.
To learn more about how to configure an individual Signature Request, reference our article on LinkSquares Sign: Individual Signature Requests.
Individual Agreement View
When using Sign to send a Finalize agreement out for signature, a modal will appear that lists any attachments included in the agreement.
Mark the checkbox next to the attachment(s) you want to include in the Signature Request.
Click CONTINUE.
The original file for the attachments included in the Signature Request is preserved with any digital signatures. The Signature Request will contain a PDF copy of the attachment file(s). As such, any attachments that are included in the Signature Request will be included in the Attachments section twice.
These attachments will reflect that they have been sent out for signature. The status of the attachments will update alongside the agreement.
The Signature Request page will populate with the main agreement (i.e., the agreement associated with the Finalize record) and the selected attachment(s) merged into one document. The agreement and attachment(s) are only merged in this step.
At this point, the Signature Request is configured as usual.
To learn more about how to configure an individual Signature Request, reference our article on LinkSquares Sign: Individual Signature Requests.
Note: In either workflow, each signatory is required to have at least one signature or initial field per Signature Request. The single signature or initial field can act as the signature or initials for the main agreement and any attachment(s).
In either workflow, if a Signature Request contains attachments, they are listed on the Signature Progress modal and the Signature History PDF.

Accessing Fully Signed Agreements in Analyze
If the integration between Analyze and Finalize is enabled, any attachments that were included in a Signature Request will be automatically ingested into Analyze. To learn more about this integration, reference our article on Analyze and Finalize Integration.
Note: Only attachments that were included within a Signature Request will be automatically ingested into Analyze. Any attachments associated with a Finalize agreement that were not included within a Signature Request will be stored on the Finalize individual agreement view page.
When the fully executed agreement is ingested into Analyze, the main agreement and any attachments will be stored as separate files.
To view attachments included in Signature Requests within Analyze, navigate to the Analyze individual agreement view for the relevant agreement.
Go to the Attachments tab.
Any attachments that were included in the Signature Request for the agreement will be stored here.
Click the ellipsis icon to download or delete the attachment from the associated Analyze agreement.
