Overview
Managers and Administrators can link agreements to one another in a parent-child hierarchy within LinkSquares Analyze. By linking related agreements together, it will provide organization and quick searches for agreements needed.

Process
A parent-child hierarchy consists of related agreements in a linked hierarchy.
Main Agreements Page
Parent-child hierarchy iconwill be present next to agreements that have linked agreements on the Main Agreements page.
Parent-child hierarchies can exist between agreements within both the Pending and Processed pages.
By selecting the icon, a pop-up will appear, displaying the linked agreements.
Note:
Only three total levels of hierarchy are allowed, so linking a fourth level (great-grandchild) will return an error.
- The bolded agreement is the current agreement within the hierarchy.
- Choose the triangle icon next to the folder to expand or collapse the hierarchy.
Leverage the Agreement Order drop-down to sort the agreement order. Sort alphabetically, by effective date, and by upload date in ascending or descending order.
Individual Agreements
Users can also reference the applicable parent-child hierarchy within the Links tab of the individual agreement view.
Note: Select an agreement from the main Agreements page to reach the individual agreement view.
Creating Parent-Child Hierarchies
Parent-Child Hierarchies can be created from both the Main Agreement page and the individual Agreement View.
Main Agreement page
- Choose the ellipsis icon (three horizontal dots) next to the agreement that will be the parent agreement.
- Edit from the drop-down.
- A pop-up will appear. The agreement can be edited.
- Agreement Name
- Agreement Type
- Agreement Tags
- Parent and Child linking
To create a parent-child hierarchy, link a child agreement to the selected parent agreement by selecting the Link Child Agreement drop-down.
- Search through your agreements and select a child agreement.
Click SAVE once complete.
Note:
- If the parent agreement is deleted, the hierarchy will be removed from related agreements.
- If a child agreement is already linked, to remove it, choose the trash icon.
- Remove the Parent agreement, choose the 'X' to the right of its name.
- There is no limit to the number of children or grandchildren agreements a parent agreement can have.
Individual Agreement Page
Edit Parent-Child Heirarchy on an Individual Agreement page.
- Left Vertical Menu, choose Links
- Under the Linked agreements to the right, choose the pencil icon
- A pop-up appears, to edit, choose the drop-down menu in the parent or child agreement name field
- Save once edits are completed
Parent-Child Hierarchy Visibility
Depending on how custom roles are configured, users with custom roles may be unable to view full parent-child hierarchies, given their tag-based or type-based restrictions.
If a parent agreement is restricted, the restricted parent agreement will be inaccessible within the parent-child hierarchy from both the main Agreements page and the individual agreement view.
The parent agreement is restricted from the users custom role, so it is listed as 'Inaccessible'
If a child agreement is restricted, the restricted child agreement will be inaccessible within the parent-child hierarchy from both the main Agreements page and the individual agreement view.
The child agreement is restricted from the users custom role, so it is listed as 'Inaccessible'
