Overview
LinkSquares users will be provided a subdomain specific to their account. This unique subdomain will be used to log in to the LinkSquares Finalize add-in for Microsoft Word.
Users will only have to enter their subdomain once. The subdomain will automatically populate for every proceeding login.
An organization’s unique subdomain can be found in the URL of the LinkSquares web app: [your_subdomain].linksquares.com. Users must input the “[your_subdomain]” information within the Word add-in login process.
For example: The URL "abc_llc.linksquares.com", the subdomain is "abc_llc"
Users will enter "abc_llc" when logging in to the Word add-in.
Entering the full URL will return an error.
Note:
- The process for logging in to the desktop Word application and Microsoft 365 is the same.
- Users that leverage a two-factor authentication method involving a passkey must access the Word add-in via Microsoft 365.
- DOC files are incompatible with the Word add-in. If you have a DOC file open, the Word add-in button will be deactivated on the toolbar of your Word instance.

Microsoft SSO
If an organization chooses to leverage Microsoft Single Sign-on (SSO), users may be prompted to log in to their Microsoft account after completing the standard login process above.
This functionality allows users to log in to their Microsoft account to limit the number of times they are asked to log in to the Word add-in.
Contact your Customer Success Manager to enable SSO for your organization.
Once SSO has been enabled and you have logged in to your Microsoft account, you will be asked to grant permission to the Word add-in.
- If Accept is selected, the SSO process is complete and you will not be asked to log in to the Word add-in again.
- If Cancel is selected, you must log in to the Word add-in every time you access it.
