Overview
Contractual relationships change over time through amendments, exhibits, and other documents.
This can make it harder to track obligations, rights, and risks.
Restated Agreements make it easier to understand how agreements in the Analyze platform are related to each other, ensuring the current understanding of contractual obligations through Smart Value extraction.
Restated Agreements are exclusive to the Analyze platform. It highlights two main features of LinkAI.
This feature is available to Administrators of the account
- Automatically associate agreements
- Virtually restated agreements will integrate amended language
To enable this feature in your account, reach out to your Implementation Manager or Customer Success Manager, depending on what stage your company is in

Process
Linked Agreements
LinkAI will automatically search through executed agreements and automatically suggest agreements to link together based on relevant contract language and other associated criteria, such as party names and agreement types.
When new agreements are added to your Analyze platform that match the criteria for existing linked agreements, those agreements will be automatically added to the appropriate relationship.
Any agreement that is associated with Restated Agreements will be reflected on the main agreement page as well as the individual agreement page.
Main Agreement page:
- Choose the bi-level folder icon
next to the Agreement name to see the relationship
- Edit or View the relationship
Individual Agreement page:
Choose links on the left-side menu.
Edit, review, order, or remove agreements the same as you would on the Main Agreements page as above.

Types of Agreement Links
There are three types of agreement links
- Amends: A parent-child relationship where the child agreement amends the parent agreement and is incorporated into the restated agreement text.
- Supports: A parent-child relationship where the child agreement is referenced in the parent agreement but is not incorporated into the restated agreement text.
- Related to: A peer-to-peer relationship where agreements are associated with the same entity but are not incorporated into any restated agreement.
LinkAI automatically suggests agreement relationships, but users may add or remove Linked Agreements at any time.
Additionally, existing parent-child relationships created prior to enabling Restated Agreements will also be retained.
Restated Agreement View
The Restated Agreement View is accessible from each agreement’s Individual Agreement View.
The Restated Agreement is generated automatically the first time a user clicks the Restated Agreement View link and remains available thereafter.
After choosing Restated Agreement View, a new window will open, and the data will be processed
- Once processed, the Amendments tab will provide the Amendment details
- Virtually restated agreements will integrate amended language
- Each time a new Restated Agreement is generated, LinkAI extracts SmartValues on the newly created text.
- SmartValues for original agreements remain accessible via their individual agreement views.

The Agreement name will always start with 'Restated' if it is the restated view that is open
Note: - Restated Agreements do not count against an organization’s Analyze storage
