This article provides step-by-step instructions for setting up Microsoft Entra (formerly known as Azure Active Directory) Single Sign-on (SSO) with LinkSquares.
Please note: When viewing the Analyze settings and the LOGIN option is not available, contact your appropriate department for assistance.

Process
The goal of the Microsoft Entra ID implementation for LinkSquares is to enable the user to use a single sign-on account to access the platform.
Here is how the process works at a high level:
User -> Logs into the company LinkSquare account -> Entra ID grants access -> User logged into LinkSquares
The setup process for Microsoft Entra ID SSO with LinkSquares requires configuration within both Microsoft Entra ID and LinkSquares.
The following process outlines the following:
- Microsoft Entra ID Configuration
- LinkSquares Configuration
Note: You must be an administrator of your company's Azure/Entra ID platform and LinkSquares Administrator or IT Administrator to complete these steps.
Microsoft Entra ID Configuration
The first step of enabling LinkSquares SSO with Microsoft Entra ID is to configure Microsoft Entra ID to access LinkSquares.
Select Microsoft Entra ID from the menu on the Azure homepage.
Select Enterprise applications from the menu.
Next, click New application at the top of the page.
Click Create your own application at the top of the page.
Then, set the application name within the What’s the name of your app? field.
LinkSquares recommends “LinkSquares.”
Select the radio button for the non-gallery application option.
Click Create.
Assign users to your LinkSquares group within Assign users and groups.
Click Assign users and groups.
After provisioning users, configure SSO within Set up single sign on.
Click Get started.
Select the SAML option.
Within the Basic SAML Configuration step of the Set up Single Sign-On with SAML page, click Edit.
Enter the following information.
Note: Please enter your subdomain within the URLs. An organization’s unique subdomain can be found in the URL of the LinkSquares web app: [your_subdomain].linksquares.com
Identifier (Entity ID)
https://[your_subdomain].linksquares.com/saml/metadata
Reply URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL)
https://[your_subdomain].linksquares.com/saml/auth
Sign on URL
https://[your_subdomain].linksquares.com
Click Save.
Once saved, click the X icon in the upper right-hand corner to return to the Set up Single Sign-On with SAML page.
Within the SAML Certificates step, click Download next to Certificate (Base64).
This will download the file locally. Open the file with a text editor to retrieve and copy the full certificate to enter into LinkSquares.
Within the Set up LinkSquares section, each field must be copied and entered into LinkSquares. Keep this information easily accessible as you execute the LinkSquares Configuration section of this article.
Click the Copy to clipboard icon to quickly copy the fields.
Note: The SSO URL will typically be the same as the SLO URL.
These fields will appear as follows within LinkSquares:
Login URL → Identity Provider SSO URL
Microsoft Entra Identifier → Identity Provider SSO Entity ID
Logout URL → Identity Provider SLO URL
If you are not a LinkSquares Administrator or IT Administrator, email the file to LinkSquares at support@linksquares.com as you will require assistance with the remaining configuration steps.
LinkSquares Configuration
The second and final step of enabling LinkSquares SSO with Microsoft Entra ID is to configure LinkSquares to access Microsoft Entra ID.
To complete the configuration, Administrators and IT Administrators must navigate to LinkSquares.
1. To begin, go to Settings from the app selector.
2. Select Analyze App.
3. Go to the Login tab.
4. From here, select the SAML radio button within the Login Methods section.
5. Enter the information within the Login URL Microsoft Entra ID field into the Identity Provider SSO URL LinkSquares field.
6. Enter the information within the Microsoft Entra Identifier Microsoft Entra ID field into the Identity Provider SSO Entity ID LinkSquares field.
7. Enter the information within the Logout URL Microsoft Entra ID field into the Identity Provider SLO URL LinkSquares field.
8. Copy and paste the full certificate that was retrieved from Microsoft Entra ID into the Identity Provider Certificate LinkSquares field.
Note: Ensure that you include “---BEGIN CERTIFICATE---” and “---END CERTIFICATE---” when pasting the certificate.
SAML SSO will be enabled after clicking SAVE LOGIN METHOD within the Login Methods section.
Your SSO login URL can be found within the Login tab for reference anytime.
