Overview
Dynamic Language reduces the need for Administrators to create and manage multiple templates with slight variations for each use case, minimizing ambiguity for Users.
Administrators create rules within Draft templates (Our Paper) that dynamically insert, update, or remove language based on the agreement’s context.
In addition, Administrators can now create conditions that will allow users to power dynamic language from a single or multi-select token(s) and agreement detail question(s) when enabled in the account.
- Enables contract language updates from the response to a single or multi-select question, from both agreement detail questions and token questions
- Allow contract language to be driven based on the options selected or not selected.
To enable this feature in your account, reach out to your Implementation Manager or Customer Success Manager, depending on what stage your company is in

Process
Applying Dynamic Language Conditions
To populate the optional configuration step for Dynamic Language, at least one Single-Select or Multi-Select token or agreement detail question must be present in the template workflow.
To begin configuring Dynamic Language, start by highlighting text in the agreement where a change should be made.
- Within our example, we will highlight the contract text for the Sign-On Bonus language
Once the desired text is highlighted, click the + CONDITION button.
- The left side of the page will be updated to an if/then format
If the user selects a given answer to the question, then the agreement will change accordingly.
Begin by selecting a single or multi-selection question from the question drop-down- Next: Select whether the quesition should be based upon if the answer IS or IS NOT selected
- Select the appropriate answer from the Answer dropdown
- Determine from THEN if this should trigger the removal or update of the agreement language.
The above example (screenshot), the question is configuring the template to remove the Sign On Bonus contract clause if not selected. - Choose to SAVE once complete
Multiple conditions can be applied to the same Single-Select or Multi-Select questions.
In the event of a conflict, the first Dynamic Language condition encountered will be the one applied.
