Overview
Finalize provides the ability for users to configure template categories. These categories are designed to allow grouping and effective management of templates and streamline users abilities to find the correct template to draft from.
For example, you may decide to categorize templates by:
- Type (NDA, Order Form, DPA, etc.)
- Department (Sales, Marketing, etc.)
- Geographic Area (Europe, North America, etc.)

Creating Custom Categories
To create a custom category:
- Click the + icon next to the Categories section in the bottom right-hand corner of the Templates page.
- Enter the category name and sub-categories.
*Examples of custom categories include related departments, jurisdictions, and regions.

- Click SAVE once complete.
Custom categories will now be available to classify new templates created.
