Overview
The LinkSquares Agentic Platform Connector for Claude allows your organization to use LinkSquares' contract lifecycle and legal request tools directly from Claude.
Once enabled by a Claude administrator, users in your organization can create agreements, manage legal requests, and search your contract repository without leaving their Claude workspace. This article covers the setup steps for Claude organization administrators.
Key Benefits of using Claude:
- Centralized legal work — Teams can initiate and manage LinkSquares workflows from Claude, reducing context switching between tools.
- Contract intelligence at hand — Users can search your organization's contract repository directly from Claude conversations.
- Controlled rollout — Admins enable and manage connector access at the organization level, with users authenticating individually via their own LinkSquares credentials.
- Permission-respecting access — Claude inherits each user's existing LinkSquares permissions. No user can access contracts or requests beyond what their LinkSquares role already allows.
Prerequisites
Before enabling the LinkSquares Connector, confirm the following:
- You have administrator access to your organization's Claude account (Claude Team or Claude Enterprise plan required — the Connectors Directory is not available on individual Claude Free or Pro plans).
- Your organization has an active LinkSquares Agentic Platform subscription.
- Users who will connect to LinkSquares must have active LinkSquares accounts with appropriate role-based permissions. The connector surfaces only what each user's LinkSquares role can already access.
Enabling the LinkSquares Connector for Your Organization
Claude administrators enable connectors from within Claude's organization settings. Once enabled, the connector becomes available for individual users to authenticate and activate in their own Claude accounts.
Step 1: Sign in to Claude as an administrator
Navigate to claude.ai and sign in with your administrator credentials. Confirm you are logged into the correct organization if your account is associated with multiple organizations.
Step 2: Open organization settings
Click your account or organization name in the upper right corner of the Claude interface, then select Settings. From the left navigation panel, select Integrations (or Connectors, depending on your plan's current interface label).
Step 3: Browse the Connectors Directory
Within the Integrations settings, you will see the Connectors Directory — a list of third-party connectors available for your organization. You can also browse the full directory at claude.com/connectors.
Use the search bar or browse by category to locate LinkSquares. The connector is listed under the Legal category.
Step 4: Review connector details
Click the LinkSquares connector card to open its detail view. Review the connector description, tool capabilities, and privacy policy before proceeding. The detail view will display:
- What tools the connector provides (agreement creation, legal request management, document search, and others)
- The authentication method (OAuth 2.0 via your LinkSquares account)
- LinkSquares' privacy policy and support contact
Step 5: Enable the connector for your organization
Click Enable for Organization (exact button label may vary). Depending on your organization's Claude settings, you may have the option to:
- Enable for all users — makes the connector available to every member of your Claude organization
- Enable for specific groups or roles — restricts availability to a subset of users (Claude Enterprise plans)
Select the appropriate scope for your rollout and confirm.
Step 6: Confirm activation
Once enabled, the LinkSquares connector will appear as Active in your organization's Integrations settings. Users in your organization will now see LinkSquares as an available connector they can connect to their individual Claude accounts.
What Happens After You Enable the Connector
Enabling the connector at the organization level does not automatically connect every user — each user must complete their own authentication step using their individual LinkSquares credentials. This ensures that each user's access is scoped to their own LinkSquares permissions.
Notifying your users: Anthropic does not automatically notify your users when a new connector is enabled. We recommend sending an internal announcement directing users to their Claude settings, where they will see LinkSquares listed as available to connect. You can share the steps below directly with your team.
User Guide: Connecting Your LinkSquares Account in Claude
Once your administrator has enabled the LinkSquares connector for your organization, follow these steps to connect your individual account.
Prerequisites: You must have an active LinkSquares account. If you are unsure whether you have access, contact your LinkSquares administrator.
Step 1: Open your Claude settings
In the lower left corner of Claude, click your name to open the account menu, then select Settings.
Step 2: Locate the LinkSquares connector
In the Settings popup, select Connectors from the left navigation panel. Find LinkSquares in the list of available connectors and click Connect.
Step 3: Authenticate with your LinkSquares account
You will be redirected to LinkSquares to authenticate and authorize the connection. Sign in with your LinkSquares credentials and click Allow to grant Claude access.
Step 4: Confirm the connection
Once you allow the connection, you will be returned to the Claude Connectors page. The LinkSquares connector status will update to a checkmark, confirming the connection is active.
Step 5: Start using LinkSquares in Claude
You can now use LinkSquares tools directly from your normal Claude prompt window. Try asking Claude to search your contract repository or help draft an agreement. Claude may ask for additional tool permissions the first time you invoke a specific action — review and approve as prompted.
Example prompts to get started:
- "Search my contracts for any agreements with auto-renewal clauses expiring this quarter."
- "Help me draft an NDA using our standard template."
- "Show me the open legal requests assigned to me."
- "Create a new legal request for a vendor agreement."
Managing the Connector After Deployment
Once the connector is live, administrators can manage it from the same Integrations settings panel:
- Disable the connector — removes availability for all users in your organization. Users who have already authenticated will lose access until it is re-enabled.
- Restrict access — on Enterprise plans, adjust which user groups have access.
- Review connector details — revisit the privacy policy, capabilities list, or support contact at any time from the connector detail view.
Common Issues and Solutions
| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| LinkSquares connector does not appear in the Connectors Directory | Confirm your organization is on a Claude Team or Enterprise plan. Connectors are not available on individual plans. Contact Anthropic support if eligible and still not visible. |
| Enable for Organization button is grayed out | Your account may not have administrator permissions in the Claude organization. Confirm your role under Settings → Members. |
| Users do not see LinkSquares as available after admin enables it | Allow a few minutes for the change to propagate. If still not visible, have users refresh their Claude settings page. |
| User cannot complete OAuth authentication | Confirm the user has an active LinkSquares account. Ensure your LinkSquares environment has API access enabled. Contact LinkSquares Support if the issue persists. |
| Connector shows as Active but tools are not responding | The LinkSquares MCP server may be temporarily unavailable. Check [LinkSquares Status Page] [LINK: needed] for service status. |
| Admin wants to restrict connector to specific users on a Team plan | Granular user-group scoping is a Claude Enterprise feature. On Team plans, the connector is enabled for all organization members. |
Additional Notes
- Permission inheritance: Claude does not grant any permissions beyond what each authenticated user already has in LinkSquares. A user who cannot access a contract in LinkSquares directly cannot access it through Claude either.
- OAuth token management: Each user's connection is maintained via an individual OAuth 2.0 token. Users can revoke their connection at any time from their personal Claude Settings → Integrations. Admins can also revoke access by disabling the connector organization-wide.
- Data handling: Data that flows through the LinkSquares connector is subject to LinkSquares' privacy policy and Anthropic's Software Directory Terms. Organizations with Zero Data Retention (ZDR) agreements with Anthropic should be aware that ZDR does not extend to connector interactions.
- Supported surfaces: The LinkSquares connector is supported on Claude.ai (web). Compatibility with Claude Desktop and Claude Code may vary.
- Enterprise SSO: If your organization uses SAML or SCIM-based SSO for Claude, connector availability follows your existing user provisioning. Contact Anthropic enterprise support for questions about connector access in SSO environments.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do all users need their own LinkSquares account to use the connector? Yes. Each user must authenticate with their own LinkSquares credentials during the individual connection step. The connector does not support shared or service accounts.
Can I enable the connector for some users but not others on a Team plan? Not on Claude Team. Enabling the connector on a Team plan makes it available to all organization members. Granular group-level scoping is available on Claude Enterprise.
Does enabling the connector automatically connect my users? No. Enabling the connector makes it available in your organization, but each user must individually authenticate with their LinkSquares credentials before the tools are active in their Claude account.
What happens if a user's LinkSquares account is deactivated? Their Claude-LinkSquares connection will fail at the next authentication check. The user will be prompted to reconnect, which they will be unable to do without an active LinkSquares account. Admins do not need to take separate action in Claude.
Does this connector work with the Classic LinkSquares platform? The connector is built for the LinkSquares Agentic Platform. Classic CLM features are not accessible through the connector. Contact your LinkSquares Customer Success Manager to confirm your account's compatibility.
Will this connector appear in Anthropic's public Connectors Directory? Yes, once approved by Anthropic's review process, the LinkSquares connector is publicly listed at claude.com/connectors and discoverable by any Claude Team or Enterprise administrator.
Is there a cost to use the connector? Access to the connector through Claude requires both an active Claude Team or Enterprise plan and an active LinkSquares subscription. There is no additional per-connector fee from either Anthropic or LinkSquares, though your plan terms apply.
