Overview
The LinkSquares Slack integration allows you to manage tasks (approvals and to-dos) as well as respond to mentions in comments.
Task Approvals
Once you are assigned a task in Finalize and receive a Slack notification, you can approve that task directly from Slack by clicking the ‘Approve’ or ‘Mark as Done’ button.
Alternatively, you can reject the task directly from Slack by clicking the ‘Reject’ or ‘Mark as Won’t Do’ button. If rejecting a task, a comment is required.
- The review buttons will disappear, indicating the task was successfully completed.
- If an approval task is rejected, the following notification will appear in Slack.
If the task is associated with a document, such as the latest version of the agreement or an attachment, you can click the ‘Details’ button to view the PDF version of the document directly from Slack.
Replying to Mentions
When you receive a notification that you were mentioned in the comments of an agreement, you can reply to that comment directly from Slack by clicking the ‘Reply’ button.
Select which Finalize users you would like to mention (if any) and fill out your comment.
Once the comment has been successfully submitted, you will receive a reply to the original notification. The tagged users will be prefixed to the beginning of the comment. Users will be tagged within LinkSquares, not Slack.
Note: You can only reply once per user-mentioned notification.
