Overview
Once all parties have signed the Finalize agreement, it will automatically advance to the "Fully Signed” status. When an agreement reaches this stage, it will be sent over to Analyze for automatic ingestion, management, and analysis.
Below are use cases and instructions for moving a completed Finalize agreement back to an open state.
Use Cases
An agreement was marked as Fully Signed; there are no signatures and/or a missing signature.
An agreement was marked as Fully Signed; the incorrect version was uploaded, or a new version needs to be uploaded
Which User Roles Can Revert Agreement Status
Only Finalize Administrators can change the status of agreements in the Fully-Signed status to any of the following statuses:
- Internal Review
- Counterparty Review
- Ready for Signature
- Partially Signed
- Out For Signature
- Done
Agreements cannot be reverted to the Request Pending and Paused statuses.

Best Practices
- If multiple signatures are required, ensure you have the right number of signature blocks. Our article on the Signature Request Workflow explains this.
- If a counter-party is signing the document in another system, you may want them to sign first and send a PDF so you don't need to revert the status.
How To Revert
Administrators can select a new status from the drop-down within the individual agreement view to revert agreements from the Fully Signed status.
Note: Tasks will not reopen when the status is reverted.
If the agreement's status is changed from Fully Signed to a previous status, the agreement will remain in the Analyze.
When the status is changed back to Fully Signed, the new version of the file will replace the old one. The information from the first version, such as the agreement ID, will be preserved, and only the file itself will be updated. LinkSquares AI will be rerun on the new version.
However, if the current Analyze version is deleted, this sync will not happen, so it’s recommended that you do not delete the Analyze version in the meantime.
