Overview
In LinkSquares Finalize, Related Agreements provide a high-level overview of Status and agreement connection. This feature provides the full context of a counterparty transaction.
Related Agreements allows collaborators to establish relationships between multiple agreements by linking or unlinking them within the individual agreement view. This provides clear visibility into completed and outstanding items within the relationship, supporting a more efficient path to signature.
The agreement relationships provide clarity into which agreements are still being negotiated, fully executed, or not yet created.
For example, this agreement has two related agreements, one in Internal Review status, the other in Ready for Signature status.
Note:
- Linked agreements do not carry over to LinkSquares Analyze upon ingestion.
- Linked agreements will continue to progress through their own workflows.
- Collaborators can only view and link agreements to which they have access. If collaborators do not have access to a linked agreement, they will be unable to interact with it.
- The Activity tab will not reflect linking and unlinking agreements.
Process
To link an agreement with other agreements within Finalize, follow these steps:
1. Choose the link icon at the top of the individual agreement view. This icon is represented by the two chain links intertwined.
2. A Link Agreement(s) panel will slide into view, listing the agreements available to be linked
3. Select one or multiple in-flight agreements to link to the current agreement by using the checkboxes on the left-hand side, right before the agreement name. There is no limit to the number of agreements that can be linked together.
Note: Collaborators can only view and select agreements to which they have access.
4. Once the agreements have been selected, choose the 'orange' link box at the bottom of the pop-up.
5. If agreements have not been previously linked, a new RELATED AGREEMENTS section will populate below the LATEST VERSION section. Linked agreements can be found here.
Tip: Leverage the search bar to filter agreements by name or agreement ID. Use the filtering and sorting icons in the table header row to organize your agreement view.
Tip: To add additional related agreements, click the link icon at the top of the individual agreement view or the + icon below the RELATED AGREEMENTS section.
Additional Helpful Linking Tips
Note: Linked agreements will display their agreement grouping within their respective individual agreement views. By relating two agreements together, you permit collaborators to view the agreement name and status if there is a mutual agreement. However, collaborators will be unable to interact with restricted agreements.
Click the LINK at the bottom of the panel once complete.
Interacting with Related Agreements
There are two ways in which collaborators can interact with related agreements.
- To open the individual agreement view of a related agreement, hover over the agreement and choose the arrow icon, Go to Agreement
- To unlink a related agreement, hover over the agreement and choose the unlink icon.
An agreement collaborator can view the name and status of all linked agreements, even if they are not a collaborator on those.
They will not be able to navigate to the agreement or unlink, unless they are a collaborator. They are unable to interact with the restricted agreements.
